After earlier success full installation of Micro Drum Filters with the Communal Waste Water Treatment Plants in Ootmarsum and Varseveld LWS Solutions supplied the fifth unit to its third customer in Holland.
Membrane Bio Reactor is a waste water treatment process where water is passed through membranes under pressure and cleaned. MBR’s are tested worldwide to prove that waste water can be processed in smaller plants, with less energy and consumable consumption; delivering an effluent that meets the highest international standards.
Pre filtration is an important part of the process as clogging of membranes has to be avoided.
The supplied micro drum filter; de MDF 1203 has a filter surface of 5,6 m2 and a calculated capacity of 200 m3.
Unique feature of the LWS Solutions Micro Drum Filter is the integrated level control; initiating the filter to run only when sufficient liquid is in the drum filter. This feature saves energy, cleaning water and reduces wear and tear on running parts.
The double installation supplied by LWS Solutions to Varseveld has been running continuously since 2006. The previous installation of two filters at Ootmarssum has been running continuously since 2007.
In the above mentioned project LWS Solutions cooperated with consultants DHV and Grontmij and a membrane supplier from the Netherlands. |
