| General information |
LWS Solutions designs and manufactures separators. These are simple and efficient filters to remove heavier solids from process flows.
Separators use the liquid’s velocity and the specific gravity of the solids.
Separators are used in processes were heavier solids and dirt have to be removed out of a continuous process stream. This can de done “in-line” or with a dedicated “side-stream” system.
LWS Solutions continues where our competitors stop. Based on our standard program we create solutions, designed to your wishes, process conditions and demands. The customized separators can be provided with internal and external abrasion resistant coatings.
The separators are build according to international production codes. (ASME VIII, PED 97/23/EC, ADM 2000, EN 13445). We are experienced in using carbon steels, 316L, duplex and super duplex steels.

| Working principle |
- Liquid enters the top dome tangentially. The special inlet creates high centrifugal velocity.
- Centrifugal force moves the particles to the outside perimeter of the separator.
- Solids settles along the outside of the separator chamber and is collected in the purge chamber.
- Cleaned liquid is drawn up in the central vortex and leaves the separator through the top outlet.
- Collected matter is purged from the purge chamber, continuously or at set intervals.
